Ayurvedic startup Rasayanam is eyeing on a substantial growth this fiscal year. It is targeting to achieve a Rs 100 crore in revenue and simultaneously to strengthen its offline sales. Founder Ayush Aggarwal revealed the strategy of the company to push for offline presence nationwide by partnering with various pharmacies and Ayurvedic practitioners.

Aggarwal expressed confidence in the current profitability of the company and even outlined their plans for further expansion in product offerings as well as in the sales channels. It is learned that the company will be introducing six new products this year and these includes plant-based multivitamins and chawanprash.

Currently, online channels are dominating the company’s sales. It is contributing 90 percent of the total sales volume. The company has plans to boast offline sales and increase its ratio from 10 percent to more.

The company exceeded expectations in the previous fiscal year and it surpassed the Rs 30 crore revenue milestone. It was achieved without external funding. This means that the company is having self-sustaining growth model.

Rasayanam also has plans to allocate resources for the research and development segment as well as the expansion of its manufacturing facilities. It will come up with several new product launches too. However, the market for health and wellness segment is highly competitive in India and Aggarwal revealed that there has been a 70 percent surge in the number of competing brands compared to the previous year.

Aggarwal simultaneously highlighted the evolving market dynamics. He said that there were just three brands for Shilajit in 2020 and now there is more than 100. This reveals the rapid expansion and diversification within the health and wellness industry.

However, the ambitious growth journey of the company highlights its commitment to innovation and market leadership in the Ayurvedic supplements segment. It is poised for significant achievements in the future.
