Wellness startup Habuild organized a 21-day online yoga challenge earlier this year in January to inspire healthy habits among individuals across the world and more than 450,000 users from 92 countries joined the event. The participants practiced yoga from the comfort of their homes with it. The event is encouraging people to stick to their wellness goals to the fullest instead of quitting it half the way. A day in January was also observed as “Quitters Day.”

The event achieved a remarkable milestone. By January 12 it achieved a Guinness World Record with a total participant of 246,252 in a single session. Co-founder Saurabh Bothra said that the startup aims to address the common struggle of maintaining consistent wellness routines.

Habuild is based in Nagpur and it was founded by IIT alumni in March 2020. It mainly focuses on promoting physical as well as mental well-being through yoga, meditation, Zumba and other such activities. It simultaneously offers personalized support through community-based programs and expert guidance.

Habuild initially operated through WhatsApp and provided users with tailored content and tracking attendance to keep them motivated. Monthly challenges and the concept of ‘No-Zero Days’ encourage users to engage in daily fitness activities, no matter how small.

The approach of Habuild is user-friendly and ensures accessibility and especially for middle-aged women and users who are from smaller towns. The startup leveraged its initiatives through various tools including the WhatsApp Business API. It aims to make wellness practices easily accessible to all and help individuals to cultivate lifelong habits for a healthier lifestyle.
