Perplexity can let you ask lots of questions from different AIs instead of relying on one AI. Today, Perplexity released a model called Model Council, it is available for Max subscribers.

How the “Council” Works
In the past, users had to choose which AI model they wanted to use. If they wanted a second opinion, they had to copy and paste their question into a different app. Model Council will automate this process for users.
When users type queries on the web, the system will send it to three models. They will process the request at the same time. A special Chair LLM will work as the moderator of the system. This model will read all responses, then it will identify the best parts of AIs, and merge them into final summaries.
If three models agree, the Model Council will give an answer. However, if the models disagree, for example if GPT says one thing and Claude says another that is different from GPT, the Chair LLM will highlight this difference. This will make sure that users know that the topic is hard.
The CEO of Perplexity said that the platform is model-agnostic. This means that Perplexity does not bias any company more than another. “We simply want to take the best parts of every frontier model available at that specific moment,” he said.
