Zoho Corporation CEO Sridhar Vembu has announced investment in Tamil Nadu-based drone startup Yali Aerospace. The funding is led by the husband-and-wife team of Dinesh Baluraj and Anugraha. The primary focus is to create user-friendly drones in India that can be used for civil as well as military purposes.<\/p>\n
Vembu shared the news on social media platform X. He expressed enthusiasm in his post that highlighted the potential impact of Yali Aerospace work and stated to be supporting the innovative venture. However, he did not reveal the figure of the investment.<\/p>\n
Yali Aerospace aims to revolutionize the delivery of medical supplies across India. Its drones come with advanced fixed-wings which are capable of vertical take-off and landing as well. The drones are learned to have the capacity of carrying payloads of up to 7 kilograms and these can simultaneously travel distances of up to 150 kilometers. The maximum speed can be reached to 155 kilometers per hour. The initiative is promising and claims to deliver medical commodities to any destination in India within 20 minutes through the Yali Network Bridge.<\/p>\n
India is actively promoting drone technology and to help in the transformation of various sectors like agriculture, healthcare and defense with the help of drone technology.<\/p>\n
The Bharat Drone Shakti 2023 exhibition last year showcased over 75 drone startups. All of them demonstrated India\u2019s commitment to becoming a major drone hub by 2030.<\/p>\n
The new Drone Rules, 2021, by the Indian government is a good support to the segment. The rules offer production-linked incentives (PLI) for drones and drone components.
