Adobe has announced to release a generative AI-powered video editing tool later this year and this is said to mark a significant expansion of its creative suite for professionals. The new tool is called Adobe Firefly Video Model and to be made available in beta version as part of a limited release.<\/p>\n
Adobe aims to tap into the growing market for AI-based video generation tools with the Firefly Video Model. It is a space where competitors like OpenAI\u2019s Sora and Stability AI\u2019s Stable Video Diffusion are already making waves.<\/p>\n
Alexandru Costin, Adobe\u2019s vice president of generative AI, said that they have focused on ensuring the quality of their model to meet the expectations of professional videographers to pay close attention to prompt interpretation and user guidance. He highlighted that Adobe\u2019s model is designed to offer a higher level of precision than existing AI video tools in the market.<\/p>\n
Adobe emphasized that the Firefly Video Model has been trained using public domain and licensed content from Adobe\u2019s own stock database that comprises of 400 million images, illustrations and videos. It ensures the model does not use any customer-owned content or material that may contain intellectual property, trademarks or recognizable characters.<\/p>\n
Adobe is also introducing Generative Extend within its Premiere Pro software apart from the Firefly Video. The tool allows users to extend any video clip by up to two seconds, seamlessly generating additional footage to fill gaps.
