It comes in a variety of sizes ranging from 0.5 to 72 billion parameters. The parameters allow the models to excel in various tasks such as mathematics, coding and translation across more than 29 languages. The Thursday\u2019s release is a follow of the initial launch of Qwen 2.5 in May.<\/p>\n<p>Other major AI players like Baidu and OpenAI have adopted closed-source approaches, but Alibaba is opting for a hybrid model as it aims to diversify its offerings and establish a competitive edge.<\/p>\n<p>Alibaba also unveiled a new text-to-video AI tool as part of its Tongyi Wanxiang image generation family.
