SolarSquare, India\u2019s leading home solar startup based in Mumbai, has raised $40 million in its Series B funding round, marking the largest venture capital raise in the Indian solar sector. The round was led by Lightspeed with participation from Lightrock. Existing investors Elevation Capital, Chris Sacca\u2019s Lowercarbon, Nithin Kamath\u2019s Rainmatter, and Gruhas Proptech also invested in the round.\u00a0<\/p>\n
SolarSquare is a full-stack residential solar brand that eliminates middlemen and ensures high-quality and safe solar installations, and a seamless customer experience. The company handles everything end-to-end for customers \u2013 from design to installation, government permits, enabling financing and post-sales regular solar maintenance.<\/p>\n
Since its inception, SolarSquare has acquired over 20,000 homes and 200+ cooperative housing societies as customers across India.\u00a0 With its post-sales solar maintenance service, SolarSquare is not just a solar installer but a tech-enabled solar operator. Today they are the largest operators of distributed solar assets in India.
