Selective users will be getting access to Meta\u2019s pilot GenAI chatbot soon.<\/p>\n<p>Meta spokesperson confirmed the development saying that their generative AI-powered experiences are under development in varying phases and they are testing publicly in a limited capacity.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to a report published on Inc42 website, the GenAI chatbot is only witnessed on WhatsApp and the feature is called \u2018Meta AI,\u2019 which is driven by the company\u2019s open-source large language model and LLaMA (Large Language Model Meta AI). It is currently available only in English languae.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the functions offered are like allowing users to \u201cget answers to any question,\u201d \u201csee recommendations,\u201d \u201cfind information,\u201d and \u201cgenerate unique images.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, those who are worried about privacy should know that Meta has assured that the private messages will remain end-to-end encrypted and unread by the company. Meta further said that AI interactions of users may be used to enhance AI quality.<\/p>\n<p>Meta rolled out the pilot project in September 2023 and Indian users were not included initially. Currently, it is also being tested in parts of Africa and the US.<\/p>\n<p>Meta is basically prioritizing India and other developing markets. India is the largest market and more than over 500 million are using WhatsApp. The user base on Instagram and Facebook is also significant in India.<\/p>\n<p>The AI chatbot pilot version is mainly focused to gather a larger pool of user data to train its LLM (Large Language Model).
